Amazon continues to experience amazing growth driving a continued need for distribution/fulfillment centers, data storage, workforce and educational solutions.

VisionFirst was retained to assist in site selection and incentive negotiation for multiple fulfillment centers in Florida. The project in Jacksonville was announced in 2016 creating 1,500 jobs with a capital investment of $200 million. In Orlando, located just south of the international airport, the new fulfillment center boasts 2.4 million square feet of distribution space which allows the company to offer one and two-hour delivery for Prime subscribers in the Orlando area.

In addition, the Orlando project is one of Amazon’s next-generation fulfillment centers, employing 1,500 employees – 3,000 during peak seasons- but much of the actual heavy lifting is done by robots and machinery.
