SITUATION: Understanding the importance of a robust and available workforce in the attraction of industry, the Chattanooga Area Chamber enlisted VisionFirst to conduct a workforce and talent assessment to understand the region’s workforce capabilities and uncover trends along with future projections.
SOLUTION: In conducting the workforce assessment, emphasis was placed on the current state of the region’s workforce, the ability of the workforce to be trained as well as how the region can prepare to meet future workforce demands. The assessment integrated quantitative analyses and insights, information and insight from businesses as well as the perspectives from the chamber staff.
SUCCESS: The workforce review and alignment assessment of the region positioned the Chattanooga Chamber to showcase grow the region’s manufacturing industry and offered creative solutions for industry to engage and enhance the regional workforce and talent pipeline.
