Service Economic Development Strategic Plan & Healthcare Infrastructure Assessment

SITUATION: In January 2018, the St. Tammany Parish Development District expanded by hiring a full staff and assuming the responsibility as the lead economic development organization and rebranded itself the St. Tammany Corporation (STC). STC retained VisionFirst to develop a strategic economic development plan that positions the organization to move forward as a high-performing economic development entity.
SOLUTION: VisionFirst developed a plan that offered goals over the short, mid- and long-term to ensure progress that offered success and the ability to measure outcomes. The plan provided a new direction of facilitating economic development in a proactive, forward thinking and innovative manner.
SUCCESS: Following the development of the plan and its significant progress implementing the tactics, the organization once again retained VisionFirst to conduct a detailed healthcare infrastructure assessment for the parish and region. VisionFirst conducted research and analysis, along with local stakeholder engagement, to develop a suite of goals and strategies for STC and NH to use for increased healthcare and medical industry special economic prosperity.
