TALLAHASSEE, FL – Today, Gray Swoope, President & CEO of VisionFirst Advisors announced Brenda Lathan, CEcD has joined the firm as a senior consultant.

Brenda has more than 20 years of experience in rural and regional economic development, most recently serving as senior vice president for the highly successful Golden Triangle Development Link.

Specifically, Brenda has been recognized for her work in product and retail development. While with the Link, a portfolio of economic development projects resulting in more than $6 billion in capital investment and 6,000 new jobs were announced.

Active in the community, Brenda was recognized by the Mississippi Business Journal as one of Mississippi’s Top 50 Business Women and she has served on the Board of Directors for the Mississippi Economic Development Council as well as the International Council of Shopping Centers. 

Brenda is a graduate of the Mississippi University for Women. She also attended Oklahoma University’s Economic Development Institute and the International Council of Shopping Center’s Retail Development Program at Penn State’s Wharton School of Business.
