Yesterday, Governor Kay Ivey of Alabama announced that Motus Integrated Technologies, a Tier 1 supplier of automotive interior products to the world’s automakers, has selected the City of Gadsden, in Etowah County, as the location for its new manufacturing facility.  Motus will invest more than $16 million and create 90 new jobs at the facility, which will manufacture interior automotive parts, including sun visors and headliners.

Each successful site search needs a project team in place to make it a success. It was clear from the beginning of this project that the leaders of Alabama and the City of Gadsden wanted Motus to be a part of the state’s automotive supplier family of businesses.

“VisionFirst’s expertise balanced our client’s key drivers with the community’s assets to bring 90 new jobs to Gadsden. We were thrilled to be part of the company project team,” said Gray Swoope, President & CEO of VisionFirst Advisors.

VisionFirst thanks Governor Ivey, the Alabama Department of Commerce, the City of Gadsden, the Gadsden-Etowah IDA and Alabama Power for their leadership and collaboration in bringing this project to fruition.
